Tashsean Noel Arrested in Eden Shooting Incident

Suspect charged with felony after McConnell Avenue shooting

EDEN, N.C. (BTW21) — A Burlington man is in custody following a shooting incident Tuesday afternoon in Eden.

At approximately 1:57 p.m., officers from the Eden Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 700 block of McConnell Avenue. Police arrived at the scene within two minutes and quickly apprehended the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Tashsean Jahki Noel of Burlington, North Carolina.

After a thorough investigation, authorities charged Noel with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, both classified as felony offenses.

Noel is currently being held at the Rockingham County Jail under a $250,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
