Taquan Trumble Arrested for Vehicle Break-Ins at Water Country USA
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — A Norfolk man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins at the parking lot of Water Country USA earlier this month.
Deputies from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office responded to the amusement park on July 12 after multiple victims reported that their cars had been broken into while they were inside the park. The suspects had smashed windows and stolen purses or wallets containing credit cards.
Authorities say the stolen credit cards were then used to make fraudulent purchases, including money orders.
Following a multi-day investigation, law enforcement identified and arrested 29-year-old Taquan Kenneth Trumble on July 29. He now faces a list of serious charges, including:
Three counts of petit larceny
Three counts of damaging property
Eight counts of credit card theft
Three counts of conspiracy to commit a felony
Three counts of credit card fraud
Three counts of money laundering
Trumble is currently being held at the Norfolk City Jail.
Investigators are continuing their search for additional suspects in the case. The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information to come forward.
