ABERDEEN, N.C. – The Aberdeen Police Department has announced the arrest of Tanajah McDonald, 31, and Ceandra McDonald, 29, both of Fayetteville, in connection with multiple larcenies in the Aberdeen area.
The investigation began on Oct. 21, when Aberdeen officers responded to a business near Johnson Street and Highway 15-501, where two larcenies had been reported on Oct. 17 and Oct. 19. After reviewing surveillance video, officers were able to identify both Tanajah and Ceandra McDonald through the incidents previously reported in and around the Fayetteville area.
Following their identification, warrants were issued for Ceandra McDonald on charges of felony larceny, felony conspiracy, misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor conspiracy, and misdemeanor concealment of goods. Tanajah McDonald was charged with felony conspiracy, misdemeanor concealment of goods, misdemeanor conspiracy, and misdemeanor larceny.
Despite efforts to locate them in Moore County, the suspects were not found. However, on Nov. 18, both were arrested in Cumberland County and taken before a Cumberland County magistrate. Ceandra McDonald was given a $4,000 unsecured bond, and Tanajah McDonald received a $2,500 unsecured bond.
