Talesha Woods Arrested in Columbia Meth Possession Case

Officers find 20 grams of meth during motel search

COLUMBIA, Mo. — A 48-year-old Columbia woman was arrested early Thursday morning after police discovered methamphetamine in her possession at a local motel.

According to the Columbia Police Department, an officer was dispatched to the Super 8 Motel around 1 a.m. on October 16 following a report of possible drug use.

While en route, another officer contacted Talesha Louise Woods, who was found to have an active felony warrant, confirmed through Boone County Joint Communications.

After being read her Miranda rights, Woods admitted she had “dope” in her backpack. Officers searched the bag and found a digital scale and two bags of methamphetamine weighing approximately 20 grams.

Woods was booked into the Boone County Jail and held without bond. She faces charges of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Delivery of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid.
