A major vehicle theft investigation in East Baton Rouge Parish has led to the arrest of Tajavious Washington and the issuance of warrants for two other suspects, deputies said.
Washington was taken into custody on Monday, February 9, after authorities executed a search warrant at his home. Investigators believe he acted alongside Brandono Cooper and Brian Delcid, who are still wanted by law enforcement.

The probe began with Cooper’s arrest on December 23, 2025, for four vehicle thefts. After his release, additional evidence indicated a broader theft operation involving multiple stolen vehicles.
Authorities say Washington, Cooper, and Delcid were allegedly responsible for 19 vehicle theft-related crimes, many of which involved stripping vehicles for parts.
Washington faces 13 counts of theft of a motor vehicle and six counts of simple burglary.
The investigation is ongoing and being conducted jointly by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and the Baton Rouge Police Department.
