In a disturbing case of animal cruelty, Amroli police in Surat arrested a man and his son for allegedly beating a stray dog named Rani.
The arrests followed a complaint lodged by a nurse, reporting the incident that took place a few days ago at Shivani Residential Society on Kosad Road, Amroli.
The accused have been identified as Dhashrat Patel and his son Milan Patel, both residents of the same society. According to police, the dog suffered injuries as a result of the alleged assault.
Authorities took immediate action following the complaint and confirmed that legal proceedings are underway against the accused for animal cruelty.
