Surat police have busted a fake visa racket, arresting an engineer who allegedly supplied counterfeit visa stickers of the UK, Canada, and other European countries to Delhi-based travel agents.
The accused, Pratik aka Abhijeet Shah, used the meticulously designed stickers to convince customers that their visa applications had been approved, allowing travel agents to collect money fraudulently.
Authorities revealed that Shah is a habitual offender, facing 12 cases related to visa and passport fraud. The investigation is ongoing, and police are tracing other accomplices involved in the scam.
