ALBERTVILLE, Ala. — A man has been arrested following the recovery of more than $9,000 in stolen property linked to a June theft in Albertville, authorities said.

Sunny Richard Brown, 36, of Albertville, was charged with two counts of first-degree receiving stolen property after detectives executed a search warrant on August 28 at a residence on Jo Ann Street.

According to the Albertville Police Department, the search turned up:

An enclosed utility trailer and equipment stolen from Americold Logistics, valued at over $4,000

A utility trailer, tools, construction equipment, fencing, concrete, and ladders taken from the City of Albertville, valued at more than $5,000

Brown was booked into the Albertville City Jail before being transferred to the Marshall County Jail, where he is being held on a $60,000 bond.

The Albertville Police Department expressed appreciation to the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office for their help in the investigation.

Officials say the case underscores their commitment to “protecting the community and holding offenders accountable.”
