Stoneville Man Arrested in Eden After Shots Fired Incident

Javen Orlando Hairston Faces Felony Charges Following Gunfire Involving SUVs

EDEN, N.C. — Javen Orlando Hairston, 23, of Stoneville, is in Rockingham County Jail without bond following a shots fired incident in Eden on May 7, 2025. The Eden Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 3:23 p.m. involving a white SUV and a black SUV near East Arbor Lane and Linden Drive.

Charges
Hairston has been charged with the following felony offenses:

Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill

Possession of a Firearm by a Felon

Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle

Investigation
Witnesses helped investigators identify Hairston as the suspect. An extensive investigation led to his arrest. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported, and details about possible victims or the vehicles involved have not been released.

Hairston is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on May 22, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
