Stoica, Teadora Arrested in $15K Guitar Theft Case

Multi-state probe links suspects to theft ring

Arrests have been made in connection with the theft of a rare guitar from a Bel Air music store earlier this year, according to the Bel Air Police Department.

The case centers on the theft of a 1947 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar valued at approximately $15,000, which was stolen from Music Land on February 3. Police say four suspects were involved, and by February 27, three had been identified and arrest warrants were issued.

Authorities have since arrested two adult suspects — Ionut Kenzo Stoica, 18, and Milescu Alexa Teadora, 19 — both from Roselle, New Jersey. A juvenile from Middlesex, New Jersey, was also taken into custody but has not been publicly identified.

The suspects were apprehended in Connecticut by the Greenwich Police Department following a multi-state investigation involving agencies across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Investigators say the suspects may be linked to other musical instrument thefts in Maryland and New Jersey and could be part of a broader organized retail theft ring operating across multiple states.

The stolen guitar has not yet been recovered, and the investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue efforts to locate the instrument.
