BEL AIR, Md. — Police have made multiple arrests in connection with the theft of a rare vintage guitar stolen earlier this year from a local music store.
According to the Bel Air Police Department, a multi-state investigation led to the arrest of three suspects tied to the theft of a 1947 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar valued at approximately $15,000.
The instrument was stolen on February 3 from Music Land in Bel Air by four individuals. Authorities later identified three suspects and issued arrest warrants on February 27.
Two adult suspects — 18-year-old Lonut Kenzo Stoica and 19-year-old Milescu Alexa Teadora, both of Roselle, New Jersey — have been taken into custody. A third suspect, a juvenile from Middlesex, New Jersey, was also arrested but has not been publicly identified under Maryland law.
The investigation involved coordination among law enforcement agencies across several states, including Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The suspects were ultimately apprehended in Connecticut by the Greenwich Police Department.
Investigators believe the suspects may be linked to a broader organized retail theft ring operating across multiple states and possibly connected to other musical instrument theft cases in Maryland and New Jersey.
The stolen guitar has not yet been recovered, and the investigation remains ongoing.
