A Stigler man, Chet Fenton, was arrested for burglary following a multi-agency investigation into a stolen property case in Wagoner County. On January 22, deputies responded to a report of stolen items from a home in the Stone Bluff area. The property owner revealed that 16 guns, five suppressors, gold coins, and binoculars had been taken from a safe.
The investigation uncovered that the property owners had hired workers to perform repairs at the home. Authorities later identified Chet Fenton as the primary suspect. Investigators linked him to pawned items matching the description of the stolen property.
On January 27, deputies from the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office and the District 27 Drug Task Force visited Fenton’s home in Stigler and questioned him regarding the burglary. After completing the investigation, Fenton was arrested for burglary and booked into the Wagoner County Jail.
Further investigation revealed that some of the stolen firearms had been recovered in Haskell County. Haskell County deputies successfully retrieved several guns and suppressors. Fenton now faces multiple charges, including larceny from a house, possession of stolen property, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Fenton bonded out of jail on January 29, posting a $15,000 bond. On January 31, a follow-up investigation at a residence in Henryetta led to the discovery of additional stolen firearms, as well as drugs, including one pound of methamphetamine, 13 grams of fentanyl, a large amount of cash, and a seized vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities expect further arrests in connection with this case.
