Stephen Smith, Katelynn Dubois Nabbed in Winthrop Drug Bust

Over 400 grams of drugs, cash seized by Maine DEA agents

WINTHROP, Maine (WABI) — Two people were arrested following a major drug bust in Winthrop involving large quantities of narcotics and cash.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency confirmed that 34-year-old Stephen Lee Smith and 32-year-old Katelynn Dubois were both charged with drug trafficking.

Agents uncovered over 400 grams of cocaine and fentanyl, along with nearly $7,000 in suspected drug proceeds, during searches of a local motel and a storage unit.

Both suspects were taken into custody and are currently being held at Kennebec County Jail.

Authorities have not released details about upcoming court appearances, but the investigation remains ongoing.
