WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS (KAUZ) — Two brothers, Stephen Delgado, 25, and Alexavier Delgado, 21, have been arrested in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries across Wichita Falls.

Surveillance footage helped police link the Delgado brothers to numerous thefts involving parked vehicles. On Friday, July 18, around 3 a.m., officers spotted the two walking through residential driveways and allegedly peering into vehicles.

When approached, the brothers attempted to flee. Alexavier led officers on a high-speed chase but was ultimately stopped and arrested. At the time, he was found in possession of two firearms. Stephen managed to escape during the initial arrest but was later apprehended at his home.

Alexavier Delgado faces:

10 counts of burglary of a vehicle

2 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon

1 count of evading arrest

Stephen Delgado faces:

12 counts of burglary of a vehicle

1 count of unlawful possession of a firearm

1 count of evading arrest with a vehicle

Both are currently held in the Wichita County Jail. Alexavier’s bond is set at $202,500, while Stephen’s totals $270,000.

Authorities believe the arrests will bring an end to the recent string of burglaries in the area.
