Two men from St Helens have been sentenced to prison following an investigation into County Line drug dealing, which saw the seizure of illicit drugs and weapons.
On January 9, officers executed drug warrants at two addresses in St Helens, uncovering a range of Class A and B drugs, along with weapons, including a crossbow, air rifle, and knives.
Connor Lees, 24, of Lingholme Road, was charged with multiple offenses, including being concerned in the supply of cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis, as well as possession of cannabis and cocaine. Tyler Pimblett, 21, of Ellen Street, faced similar charges, including being concerned in the supply of cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis, along with possession of cannabis.
Both men pleaded guilty to the charges at a court hearing on January 10. They were sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on February 7, 2025, with Lees receiving two years and eight months in prison, and Pimblett being jailed for two years and six months.
This investigation was part of Project Medusa, a Merseyside-led initiative aimed at tackling County Lines drug dealing and the criminal exploitation of vulnerable individuals.
Constable John Liauw-Jen-Choy, who led the investigation, emphasized the significance of disrupting these criminal networks, stating, “Organised crime linked to County Lines causes great harm to communities, often through violence, intimidation, and fear. By working with partners and sharing intelligence, we can tackle these networks and safeguard vulnerable individuals.”
Project Medusa remains committed to targeting County Lines, taking offenders off the streets, and preventing further harm to communities.
