Srinagar Police Arrest Two Drug Peddlers, Recover Contraband

Nadeem Qadir Chopan and Ahmad Badri Arrested with Narcotics

Srinagar Police continues its fight against drug abuse with a major breakthrough. A police team from Police Station Nishat arrested two drug peddlers after successfully intercepting them at a checkpoint in Pahloo Brein.

The suspects, identified as Nadeem Qadir Chopan and Ahmad Badri, residents of Pahloo Brein, attempted to flee but were apprehended by the police. During the search, a substantial quantity of narcotics was recovered from their possession.

Both accused have been booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act) and have been arrested. An FIR (First Information Report) under Case No. 08/2025 has been registered at Police Station Nishat. The police have initiated further investigation into the case.

Srinagar Police urges the public to report any drug-related or other criminal activities by contacting local police or dialing 112. Authorities reassured the community that strict action will be taken against those involved in drug peddling to ensure a safer society.
