The Marathahalli police have arrested a 32-year-old man, identified as Srikanth, in connection with a sexual assault on a woman techie that took place late at night on April 30.
Srikanth, an MBA graduate and employee of a private firm, resides in Devarabeesanahalli. According to police, the incident occurred while the woman was returning home from work.
Initially, the woman believed the inappropriate contact was accidental. However, Srikanth reportedly took a U-turn and returned to repeat the act, confirming it was intentional.
The victim immediately reported the incident, and following investigation and identification, Srikanth was taken into custody. He now faces serious charges of sexual harassment.
Police emphasized the importance of swift action in cases involving the safety of women, especially in tech corridors like Marathahalli.
