The Koderma Police have arrested seven interstate criminals involved in a series of thefts across the region, officials confirmed. The arrests were made following a successful crackdown led by Superintendent of Police Anudeep Singh.
According to the SP, a police patrol team from Nawalshahi intercepted three suspicious individuals on a motorcycle near the Khatoliya crusher market on Sunday. A bag they carried contained lock picking tools, two batteries, nut bolts, and various other theft-related equipment. Further checks revealed that the motorcycle was stolen.
During interrogation, the trio admitted to a theft at the crusher market and named several accomplices. Based on this, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by SDPO Anil Kumar Singh was formed.
The SIT quickly moved into action, arresting four additional suspects from different parts of the district. The accused confessed to multiple thefts across Markacho, Jainagar, Koderma, and Nawalshahi.
The seven arrested were identified as:
Prabhu Malhar, Vishal Malhar, Sachin Malhar, and Mithlesh Malhar – residents of Markacho, Koderma district
Munna Malhar, Ramu Malhar, and Arun Malhar – residents of Gorhar, Hazaribag district
“Further raids are being conducted to apprehend the remaining gang members,” said SP Anudeep Singh.
