South Carolina Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Habersham County

Samuel Devahn Jones Charged with Meth Trafficking, Firearm Possession

Habersham County, GA – Samuel Devahn Jones, 30, of South Carolina, has been arrested on drug trafficking and firearm charges following a traffic stop in Habersham County.

On January 29, 2025, Georgia State Patrol (GSP) troopers stopped Jones for a traffic violation on Georgia Highway 365 North. A subsequent search revealed approximately 4.5 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine and a firearm inside Jones’ vehicle.

Jones was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was transported to the Habersham County Jail, where he remains in custody. The investigation was conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
