Sohana Police have arrested Babanjit Singh, an employee of the Third Commando Battalion, and his accomplice Manpreet Sandhu on extortion charges. The duo allegedly threatened Raman Kumar, the owner of a bone treatment clinic in Sohana village, by falsely implicating him in a drug case and stealing cash from his clinic.

The police have filed a case against Babanjit Singh, also known as Bablu, a resident of Nanak Nagri, Moga, and Manpreet Sandhu, also known as Mannu Sandhu, from Anand Nagri, Abohar, Fazilka district.

According to DSP City-2 Harsimran Singh Bal, Raman Kumar, who operates the bone treatment clinic in Sector 77, Sohana, reported the incident. On March 8, Babanjit Singh, dressed in a Punjab Police uniform, entered the clinic and claimed to be a CIA officer.
