The Bengaluru Police Central Crime Branch arrested Snehamayi Krishna, the complainant in the Mysuru land scam case, for allegedly creating fake audio clips to defame a state government officer.

Incident Details

The complaint was filed by DB Natesh, former Commissioner of the Mysuru Urban Development Authority.

Krishna allegedly made and circulated fake audio clips and documents with malicious intent.

A search of Krishna’s Mysuru home was conducted under a court-issued warrant, leading to his arrest.

Evidence was collected from social media platforms and the clip uploaded on Facebook was examined by investigators.

Background

The disputed clip allegedly contained DB Natesh’s voice, suggesting a one-to-one connection with Krishna through some link.

This arrest comes in the context of Krishna previously being the complainant in the Mysuru land scam case, which involved political figures including Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah’s family.
