Yamunanagar, Haryana: The Yamunanagar district police have arrested Sneha and Amit in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Rajiv from Shankar Puri Colony, Jagadhri. The body was discovered near the cremation ground in Tirth Nagar on March 1, 2026.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashish Chaudhary stated that Rajiv had tattoos identifying him, including ‘S’ on his left hand, ‘Rajiv’ on his right arm, and ‘Sneha’ on his chest. Rajiv had been missing since February 27, 2026.
Investigations revealed that personal rivalry involving Rajiv’s girlfriend, Sneha, and her former relationship with neighbor Amit led to a premeditated plan. On February 27, Sneha allegedly lured Rajiv to Ranjitpur, where Amit took him to the crime scene on a motorcycle. Amit allegedly administered drugs to Rajiv and strangled him while he was incapacitated.
Both accused were arrested and produced in Jagadhri court. Sneha was sent to judicial custody, while Amit received three days of police custody. Further investigation is ongoing.
