Slidell, La. — A Slidell-area man was arrested on Thursday, March 7, after St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s detectives discovered illegal narcotics inside his vehicle during a routine traffic stop.
Around 5 p.m., detectives from the Sheriff’s Proactive Enforcement Unit were patrolling the area of Brownsvillage Road near Slidell when they observed a black Honda Civic commit several traffic violations. The officers initiated a traffic stop, at which point they made contact with the driver, Kendrick Wise, 29.
Upon searching Wise’s vehicle, authorities found 67.4 grams of THC gummies, 2.5 grams of crack cocaine, 10 Oxycodone pills, and 1.6 grams of marijuana.
Wise was arrested and charged with multiple drug-related offenses, including:
Possession with intent to distribute THC gummies
Possession of crack cocaine
Possession of Oxycodone
Possession of marijuana
He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center, where he awaits further legal proceedings. Authorities have continued to emphasize their commitment to curbing illegal drug activity in the area through proactive enforcement measures.
