SLIDELL, La. — Vincent Parker, a 20-year-old man from Slidell, was arrested on Thursday, May 8, after a house search led to the discovery of a significant amount of illegal drugs.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, detectives conducted a search at a home in the 3700 block of Riviera Drive. During the search, authorities allegedly found 392 tapentadol pills—a Schedule II controlled substance, 43 pills containing methamphetamine packaged for distribution, 6.1 grams of marijuana, and various drug paraphernalia.
As a result, Parker was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on charges including possession with intent to distribute Schedule II controlled substances (tapentadol and methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Additionally, Broderika Encalade, 40, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in connection to the bust.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to address drug distribution issues in the area.
