Six Arrested in Eagle Springs Drug Bust

Moore County deputies seize fentanyl, meth, and more

Six individuals were arrested Thursday following a search warrant executed on the 500 block of Possum Holler Road in Eagle Springs, North Carolina.

Detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office reportedly seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana, alprazolam, clonazepam, amphetamine, buprenorphine hydrochloride, and drug paraphernalia during the search.

The six arrested face multiple charges:

Heather Locklear, 65, Eagle Springs: Possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, multiple counts of simple possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia; held on a 48-hour no-bond hold.

Monica Boyd, 50, Candor: Possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia; $7,500 secured bond.

Kiah Boyd-Coleman, 24, Eagle Springs: Simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; $1,500 unsecured bond.

Destiny Ritter, 23, Biscoe: Felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, methamphetamine possession, simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, and paraphernalia offenses; $15,000 secured bond.

Reno Ramchand, 45, Eagle Springs: Possession of drug paraphernalia; 48-hour no-bond hold.

John Newman, 36, Asheboro: Possession of drug paraphernalia; $1,500 secured bond.

All defendants are scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on February 26 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
