Six Arrested in Delaware County Drug Trafficking Bust

Authorities seize 8.5 kg of cocaine, $100K, and weapons in sting

MEDIA, PA – Authorities have arrested six individuals linked to a major drug trafficking organization in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

The arrests were the result of an undercover operation led by the county’s Narcotics Task Force, District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer announced on Tuesday.

Operation Sparkplug Leads to Major Seizures
Dubbed “Operation Sparkplug,” the sting resulted in the seizure of:
✅ 8.5 kilograms of cocaine
✅ $100,000 in cash
✅ Multiple vehicles
✅ A cache of firearms

Suspects in Custody
The six individuals arrested in connection to the operation include:

Shamar Campbell, 35 – Upland, PA
Shawn Payne, 53 – Sicklerville, NJ
Lydell Heyward, 49 – Philadelphia, PA
Amir Colder, 45 – Claymont, DE
Marece Scott, 39 – Chester, PA
William Johnson, 64 – Chester, PA
Authorities have not yet disclosed the full list of charges, but officials say the arrests mark a significant disruption to drug trafficking in the region. The investigation remains ongoing.
