Singer Mark Morrison Arrested for Battery in Palm Beach

"Return of the Mack" singer accused of altercation at restaurant

PALM BEACH, Fla. – 90s R&B star Mark Morrison, best known for his hit song “Return of the Mack,” was arrested Sunday evening after a dispute with a Palm Beach restaurant manager escalated into a physical altercation.

Incident at Le Bar à Vin
According to the Palm Beach Police Department (PBPD), Morrison, 52, entered Le Bar à Vin, located at 380 South County Road, to confront the venue’s management over an alleged unpaid entertainment fee.

Witnesses and the victim reported that Morrison became agitated during the argument and pushed the restaurant manager twice. Bystanders intervened to separate the two men, and Morrison was asked to leave the premises.

Arrest & Charges
Shortly after the altercation, police arrested Morrison and booked him into Palm Beach County Jail on a simple battery charge. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.

Legal Defense & Allegations
Morrison’s attorney, Rick King, stated that the incident stemmed from a racially charged confrontation and that Morrison’s legal team is committed to ensuring the full context of the altercation is understood.

The case remains under investigation.
