Ahmedabad police officials have arrested Siddharth Narsidani, a key suspect in a luxury call centre scam targeting American citizens. The arrest took place during a raid on a four-storey bungalow in Kankaria on Thursday, where authorities also seized Rs30.5 lakh concealed in secret compartments.
The Local Crime Branch (LCB) had previously arrested Salman, alias Raja, who operated the call centre alongside Narsidani. A third suspect, identified as Tushar, the alleged mastermind behind the operation and a resident of Mumbai, is currently on the run. Police are coordinating with Mumbai authorities to locate him.
Sources indicate that Narsidani was instrumental in transferring the illicit funds from the scam to Mumbai via the hawala system. Additionally, it is believed that he had connections with local police officers who allegedly utilized his services for personal matters. The LCB is continuing its investigation into the broader implications of the case.
