In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Parwanoo police arrested a Manimajra resident for allegedly supplying heroin to two youths and recovered contraband from his residence. The accused has been identified as Shivam alias Kaku (25), a resident of New Indore Colony, Manimajra.

Police action followed the arrest of two motorcycle-borne youths on January 31, from whom 7.34 grams of heroin was recovered. One of the accused, Aryan (18), is a resident of Pinjore, while the second accused was a juvenile from the same area.

A case under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act was registered at Parwanoo police station. Aryan was produced before a court on February 1 and remanded to four days of police custody, while the juvenile was handed over to his relatives after questioning.

During interrogation, police learned that the seized heroin had been purchased for Rs 14,000 from Shivam in Manimajra.

“After examining technical evidence, including call detail records and other digital inputs, the police arrested Shivam from his residence and recovered 7 grams of heroin from his possession,” said Solan SP Gaurav Singh.

Further investigation is underway to trace additional links in the drug supply network.
