DENHAM SPRINGS — A woman wanted for felony theft was arrested after a short pursuit in the parking lot of Academy Sports, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Shireeka Morrison, 31, was driving a gray Honda SUV when she allegedly led a brief vehicle chase in the store’s parking lot.
Officials reported that Morrison was found in possession of stolen items from Academy Sports. Investigators also said she had stolen from Carter’s and other retail outlets in Baton Rouge.
Morrison was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center pending felony theft charges.
