Shimla police have arrested three drug peddlers in the Rohru subdivision as part of an ongoing crackdown on narcotics.

The accused have been identified as Aashish (24) of Khashdhar village, Naveen Shitta (31) of Gokswari, and Diwan Chand (39) of Sundha, all in Chirgaon.

The arrests follow the detention of Jashandeep Singh and Dharampreet Singh from Punjab on February 2, who were caught with 83 grams of heroin (chitta) in Mehandli, Rohru. Investigation of the suspects’ bank transactions and digital evidence led police to uncover the involvement of the three additional accused in the drug trade

Gaurav Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Shimla, confirmed that a case under the NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation is underway to dismantle the network..
