BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A Baltimore woman has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder after a fatal stabbing in Southeast Baltimore.
Police say 37-year-old Sherrice Parker is accused of killing 46-year-old Donte Chase on June 30 near a home on the 700 block of North Kenwood Avenue.
Officers responded to reports of a stabbing and found Chase with multiple injuries, including a stab wound to his left chest and defensive wounds. He was transported to a local hospital but later died.
Court records indicate Chase was stabbed inside the home before fleeing outside, where he collapsed.
Detectives discovered that Parker, who lived with Chase and is the mother of two of his children, had a history of documented domestic incidents with him.
Parker reportedly called a family member after the stabbing, admitting to the act, which led to a search warrant at the residence.
Investigators found a bloodied knife on the floor and significant blood throughout the first floor of the home.
Though Parker was not on the scene when police arrived, CCTV footage revealed she fled after leaving her 11-year-old and 7-year-old children inside the home. Family members later retrieved the children before police arrived.
Parker surrendered to homicide detectives on July 3 and was charged with first-degree murder. She is currently held at the Baltimore Central Booking & Intake Center.
