Madison, N.C. (BTW21) – On March 20, 2025, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at 603 Williams Rd., Madison, N.C. This operation followed a comprehensive investigation and resulted in the discovery of a significant amount of illegal substances.
Among the drugs seized were fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia. Authorities also confiscated an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
The primary suspect, 50-year-old Shea Eugene Penney, a resident of the property, was arrested and charged with several serious offenses. These include:
Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Distribute Cocaine (PWISD)
Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Distribute Methamphetamine (PWIMSD)
Trafficking in Opium or Heroin (Fentanyl)
Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana (Up to ½ oz.)
Misdemeanor Simple Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance
Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer
Penney was booked into the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility, where he is being held on a $250,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
