MILTON, NY — A 46-year-old Clifton Park man, Shawn P. Flores, was arrested early Thursday morning by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office following a reported burglary and protection order violation.

Deputies responded to a residence at 885 Middle Line Road at approximately 12:40 a.m. for a burglary complaint. The investigation determined that Flores had entered the home unlawfully and was in violation of an active order of protection.

Flores was charged with:

Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, a Class E felony, due to a prior conviction within five years

Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, a Class A misdemeanor

Authorities say Flores had been previously ordered to stay away from the victim’s residence but knowingly entered and remained inside the dwelling.

He was arraigned before Judge Steven L. Brown in Milton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail, where he remains pending further legal proceedings.
