OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – A 52-year-old man was arrested in Oklahoma City as part of a cross-country human trafficking investigation, according to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN).
Officials report that an undercover OBN agent came across an online advertisement involving a female who appeared to be a victim of human trafficking. After contacting the victim, agents learned she had been brought to Oklahoma by Shawn Brownlee, who had responded to one of her sex advertisements in California. Brownlee allegedly transported her in a semi-trailer with the intent to further exploit her for sex work.
The OBN’s Human Trafficking Unit tracked down Brownlee, and he was arrested in Oklahoma City on April 3, 2025. He now faces multiple charges, including Pandering and Maintaining a House of Prostitution.
Authorities warn that additional charges may be added as the investigation progresses.
The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics continues to investigate human trafficking operations across the state, and the Human Trafficking Unit urges anyone with information to come forward.
