Amsterdam, NY – A Pennsylvania man is facing serious drug charges after New York State Police discovered a large quantity of cannabis during a traffic stop on Interstate 90.
Authorities say 35-year-old Shane R. Wolf of Scranton was charged with first and second-degree criminal possession of cannabis after troopers pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation on Saturday. Wolf, a passenger in the vehicle, was reportedly in possession of over ten pounds of marijuana and more than two pounds of concentrated cannabis.
The vehicle’s driver was released without charges, while the drugs were seized at the scene.
Wolf was arraigned in Mohawk Town Court and released on his own recognizance pending further legal proceedings.
