On January 17, the Shamshabad Special Operations Team (SOT) cracked down on a racket involving fraudulent vehicle insurance policies and forged government documents.
The police arrested three men: Md Awyes (38), Buneti Shravan Kumar Goud (41)—both working as Regional Transport Authority (RTA) agents—and Morsu Shiva Kumar (33). The operation revealed a larger network, with ten others still evading arrest.
The accused allegedly manipulated vehicle insurance procedures and produced fake government documents to deceive authorities and clients.
The investigation is ongoing as the SOT hunts down the remaining suspects.
