Shamier Fairley Arrested for Felony Drug Possession in Albany

Deputies found crack cocaine, fentanyl-laced pills in vehicle

Albany, NY (WRGB) — Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple, Sr. announced the arrest of Shamier Fairley, a 20-year-old resident of Cohoes, on serious drug charges after a traffic stop in Albany.

On October 2, 2025, at approximately 5:42 PM, deputies pulled over a vehicle near Livingston Avenue and North Manning Boulevard. During the stop, Fairley was found in possession of approximately 4 grams of crack cocaine and 135 counterfeit Oxycodone pills that were laced with fentanyl, allegedly intended for distribution.

Fairley now faces two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, both Class B felonies, in addition to several traffic violations.

He is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Albany City Criminal Court on October 3, 2025.
