KISSIMMEE, FL – The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred earlier this week at a hotel in Kissimmee.
On September 3, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., deputies responded to The Irlo Hotel, located at 5565 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, after receiving a report of a medical emergency. Upon arrival, they discovered 37-year-old David Donahue-Alayon of Orlando lying face down with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation, detectives identified 33-year-old Shahzaib Ahmed Khan as the primary suspect. An arrest warrant was issued, charging Khan with Murder with a Firearm. Authorities warned the public that Khan was considered armed and dangerous.
On the evening of September 4, with assistance from partner agencies, deputies located Khan in the Tangelo Park area of Orange County. He was taken into custody around 11:00 p.m. without further incident.
The case remains under investigation.
