Jupiter Man Arrested for Domestic Battery and Animal Cruelty
Jupiter Police Department (JPD) arrested 33-year-old Seth Michael Anderson of Riviera Beach late Saturday night following a series of violent and erratic incidents involving a woman and a dog outside a business on Main Street.
Police responded around 11 p.m. near Bahama Bucks after receiving reports of a man assaulting a woman and mistreating a dog. Upon arrival, officers found Anderson engaged in a heated argument with the woman. Despite repeated commands to sit down and show his hands, Anderson refused, prompting an officer to draw a Taser while awaiting backup.
Witnesses described Anderson as belligerent and visibly intoxicated, with bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The arrest affidavit states Anderson pushed the woman during a dispute over the dog and was seen lifting the puppy by its leash, causing it to gasp for air. Bystanders intervened, and one individual physically restrained Anderson until police arrived. Anderson allegedly attempted to bite and punch the person who stepped in.
Initially, the woman told officers she did not want Anderson arrested and claimed the push occurred as he tried to retrieve the dog. However, further statements and police observations identified Anderson as the primary aggressor.
Anderson was taken into custody and booked into Palm Beach County Jail. His booking photo captured the intensity of the night’s events.
