Davenport, IA — A second person has been arrested in connection to the theft of propane tanks from a Dollar General store in Davenport last month.

Kristina Willers, 32, was taken into custody after an investigation linked her to the November 27 theft. Police responded to the Dollar General on Rockingham Road around 8:09 a.m. on that date. The store manager provided security footage that showed Willers and two co-defendants at the store around 4:25 a.m., when the store was closed.

According to the criminal complaint, the trio used bolt cutters to cut the chain and padlock securing the propane tank storage cage outside the store. Willers allegedly acted as a lookout while the others removed seven propane tanks from the cage.

The defendants were later identified by police, as they were wearing the same clothing seen in the surveillance footage. Five of the stolen propane tanks were recovered during a later call related to a theft and trespassing incident.

Willers is currently being held in the Scott County Jail on a combined secured bond of $5,300. She awaits her initial court appearance.
