Sebastian Sharpe was arrested after a traffic stop in Rome, New York led to a brief foot chase on March 10, according to the Rome Police Department.
Officers stopped a vehicle on Riverside Drive around 10:19 a.m., when Sharpe, the driver, fled on foot and attempted to enter a nearby home before being apprehended after a short pursuit. Authorities later discovered he had multiple active warrants from various local agencies.
Sharpe now faces several charges, including:
Criminal possession of a controlled substance
Obstructing governmental administration
Resisting arrest
Aggravated unlicensed operation
Additional traffic violations
He was arraigned in Rome City Court and transported to the Oneida County Jail due to the outstanding warrants.
The passenger, Bruce Drawdy, was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was processed and later released with an appearance ticket.
