JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. — Sebastian Carrillo, an appointed clerk with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and former Battalion Chief with Birmingham Fire and Rescue, was arrested on charges of theft by deception, authorities confirmed.
The sheriff’s office said it is conducting an administrative investigation but declined to comment further on personnel matters. No additional details about the alleged theft or Carrillo’s next court appearance were immediately available.
