JONESBORO, Ark. — Police have arrested a Searcy man linked to multiple vehicle break-ins and thefts in the Jonesboro area.
Gabriel Corro Hernandez was charged with several crimes, including:
Theft of a vehicle valued at $5,000–$25,000 (Class C felony)
Breaking or entering (Class D felony)
Theft of credit or debit cards (Class D felony)
Theft under $1,000 (Class A misdemeanor)
Fleeing (Class A misdemeanor)
Court documents indicate that officers responded on June 10 to a report of a stolen vehicle at Willow Creek Apartments. The victim’s white 2012 Nissan Altima had been taken with her keys and wallet inside.
Investigators found that the same Altima was involved in several other vehicle break-ins. Police traced it to the 1900 Links apartment complex and recovered the stolen vehicle on June 11, although the tag and stickers had been removed.
Two witnesses identified Hernandez as the driver. On June 16, police executed a search warrant at his apartment and recovered multiple stolen items, including the Altima owner’s debit card.
Several residents had reported vehicle break-ins near Bekah Drive the night of the thefts. Video surveillance from one victim helped police track the suspects’ vehicle. While three suspects initially fled, two were captured, and Hernandez was later arrested as the third suspect.
Hernandez is currently held on a $50,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 23, 2026.
