BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD (WBFF) – A Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) teacher has been arrested and charged in connection with the sexual abuse of a minor, authorities announced on Wednesday.
Sean Brooks, 40, a physical education teacher at Perry Hall High School, was taken into custody following allegations that the abuse occurred on school property. He is currently being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
In response to the arrest, Perry Hall High School Principal Abbey Campbell issued a letter to staff and families addressing the situation. In the letter, she confirmed Brooks’ arrest and stated that he faces multiple charges of sexual abuse involving a minor.
“Mr. Brooks is on administrative leave and barred from BCPS property,” the letter read. “These charges are deeply disturbing, and this alleged behavior is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”
Brooks had been employed with Baltimore County Public Schools since August 2017, serving at Perry Hall High School for his entire tenure.
