Scottie Warner Jr. & 2 Others Charged in Meth Trafficking

Traffic stop in Bowling Green leads to drug bust

BOWLING GREEN, KY – Three individuals are facing drug trafficking charges after a routine traffic stop in Bowling Green on Wednesday evening turned into a narcotics investigation.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle around 8:30 p.m. on Veterans Memorial Lane, citing a non-illuminated license plate and a severely cracked windshield. Deputies identified the driver as Scottie Warner Jr., 29, of Greenville, Kentucky. The vehicle was registered to the passenger, Stacy Brown, 24, of Bowling Green. An additional passenger, Nayana Chumley, 18, of Central City, was in the backseat.

A K9 unit alerted to the presence of drugs, prompting a search. Deputies discovered 22.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine, multiple pipes with residue, and a bong inside the vehicle.

All three suspects were arrested and charged:

Scottie Warner Jr.: Trafficking meth (≥2g), drug paraphernalia, no rear plate light, obstructed windshield, and failure to maintain insurance.

Stacy Brown: Trafficking meth (≥2g), first offense.

Nayana Chumley: Trafficking meth (≥2g), drug paraphernalia.

The investigation is ongoing.
