In a significant move by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Priyansh Goyal, the Deputy Manager of SBI Bank’s RACCC branch in Jhalawar, and Gajendra Kumawat, an auditor assistant with Milind Nyati & Company, were arrested on Wednesday for accepting a bribe of Rs30,000.
Dr. Ravi Prakash Meharda, Director General of ACB Police, confirmed that the arrest followed a complaint from an individual. The complainant alleged that Priyansh Goyal, in collaboration with the private auditor Gajendra Kumawat, demanded a bribe of Rs40,000 to process an industrial loan.
In response to the complaint, the ACB team, led by Additional Superintendent of Police Jagram Meena, verified the details and set up a trap. Both Goyal and Kumawat were caught red-handed accepting Rs30,000 in bribe money.
The ACB’s successful operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat corruption within financial institutions and government services, ensuring accountability and transparency in public dealings.
