Saran Police Solves Murder of Anjali Kumari, Arrests Bittu Mahto

Bittu Mahto confesses to killing Anjali Kumari in Bajahiya village

On Tuesday, Saran police announced the resolution of a murder case involving 17-year-old Anjali Kumari, whose body was discovered in Bajahiya village under Dariapur police station on February 16. Authorities arrested the main suspect, Bittu Mahto (alias Bittu Kumar), son of Jamadar Mahto, a resident of Shobhepur in Nayagan police station area. During questioning, Bittu Mahto confessed to his involvement in the crime.

Saran’s Superintendent of Police (SP), Kumar Ashish, confirmed that a Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by SP Gramin Shikhar Choudhary, was formed to crack the case. Investigators seized a knife believed to be the weapon used in the murder, along with a blood-stained cloth. Further investigation is underway as police work to uncover more details surrounding the crime.
