PRYOR CREEK, OKLA. – Two suspects, Sarah Maxey, 41, and Sean King, 58, were arrested after allegedly stealing nearly $1,000 worth of merchandise from a Bomgaars store in Pryor Creek.
The incident unfolded just after 5:30 p.m. when officers responded to a report of shoplifters attempting to leave the store with various items, including jeans, boots, hats, socks, batteries, padlocks, box knives, and even a propane bottle.
According to police, Maxey and King had hidden their vehicle in the tree line north of the store. When two officers, already in the area, spotted the suspects, they were quickly apprehended. The stolen merchandise was recovered at the scene.
Maxey and King were arrested and taken to the Mayes County Jail on charges of petit larceny and knowingly concealing stolen property.
