CARTHAGE, N.C. — A 47-year-old Moore County woman, identified as Sara Rhea Kinz, has been arrested following a Thursday morning shooting on Liberty Lane in Carthage.
The Moore County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting around 8 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies found a person who had been shot. The victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Following the incident, Kinz was arrested and charged with multiple serious offenses, including:
Attempted first-degree murder
Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
Inflicting serious injury
Assault with a deadly weapon in the presence of a child
Kinz is being held without bond at the Moore County Detention Center. She is scheduled to appear in court on September 18.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
